Preceptor Development Program
Welcome to the Preceptor Development Program. These modules are adapted from material developed by The Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, North Carolina, through a HRSA Family Medicine Training Dissemination Grant.
The purpose of this program is to provide faculty development training that is relevant and easy-to-use for busy community-based preceptors. The program is intended for clinicians who teach students in community based settings that include, but are not limited to, hospitals, homecare agencies and medical offices.
This site offers you:
- Training in various topics of interest to preceptors
- Resources and links to other sites of interest to preceptors
This continuing education session has been awarded 1 contact hour by the Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the New Hampshire Nurses' Association Commission on Continuing Education, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
We encourage you to read these materials, let us know what you think of them, and share your teaching hints with other preceptors.
Development and dissemination of these materials were supported by a HRSA Family Medicine Training Grant, #1D15PE50119-01.
