SNHAHEC & NHMHC are offering a 70-hour Legal Interpretation Training Program in Manchester NH. This course is designed for bilingual individuals who are interested to work as interpreters in legal settings. The training will be offered for 10 weeks, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 5:50 to 9 pm, March 1, through May 12, 2010. Each applicant will be screened for language proficiency (English and target Language), before being accepted into the training. Attendance at all classes is mandatory in order to receive a certificate of completion. Students will have bring to the class bilingual legal dictionaries. Individuals registering before January 15, 2010, and speaking in demand languages and/or with low income will qualify to pay only $600. Scholarships will be distributed as first come first serve till supplies last. Individuals interested in this training must complete the form below, include the non refundable registration fee of $100 and mail it to Southern New Hampshire Area Health Education Center, 128 State Route 27, Raymond NH 03077, Attn: Florentina G. Dinu. Please include a copy of your High School Diploma/GED, or highest degree, with the registration form. Checks or money orders should be made to SNHAHEC, for LIT. The additional balance is due when you pass the screening, on the first day of class. Students unable to complete the class can return to graduate during future trainings offered.
